It is quite easy to find this plane on reselling sites like Ebay etc. However, unlike many of the examples on those sites, this Stanley No.50 Combination plane is in unused, "as new" condition, in its original box (this has been drawn on in felt tip pen), with instruction leaflet, with the 17 cutters in the wooden cutter holder, has both spurs and the nickel plating is 95+ untarnished.

This standard angle block plane has been discontinued for some time from Lie Nielsen Toolworks. They have now entered the "collectible" category and if that's your interest or just that you want to use this plane then it's deep pocket time (sorry!).

A bit of vintage fun with this lovely example of a Millers Falls hand vice with 6 bits.
The bits are secretly housed in the ebony handle which has a screw top, The handle can be screwed into the vice from the underside or from the side.
All original.
6 bits include a little circular anvil, 3 chisels and 2 V shaped bits bent at right angle.

This was from David Charlesworth's workshop in Devon but did not make the sale of his 100 best tools only because the 2 fence screws do not match each other (they work as they should - see photo).
One double reeding cutter (2 flutes each).
2 fences, one straight, one with a slight radius.
We think this was repainted some time ago as it presents as near perfect.

This has a 9'' beech handle with a tapered auger that is stamped 1 1/4'' Wm Marples., Sheffield.
It will clean up to G++ with little effort. No rust at all, the handle just needs a light clean with some wax and wire wool.

This dates from about the 1920's
This Union No.42, which is similar to the Stanley plane, has a fence that you can swing through 180 degrees. One way for the tongue, then swing it around for the groove.
In great order this plane is ready to tongue and to groove.
