Sharpen your Hand Tools

There is a bewildering choice of products to sharpen your hand tools.

We don't wish to offer anything that we haven't tried ourselves or that hasn't come with a ringing endorsements from respected teachers, authors or hand tool makers.

We are pleased to offer the Toishi Ohishi waterstones and the Shapton Glass Stones series from Japan.

We also keep faith with good old fashioned oil stones from Norton Pike that provide excellent value for money plus we have the natural quarried stones from Arkansas.

We offer just 2 tried and tested machines - Tormek & Sorby Pro-Edge plus all their accessories.

We have honing guides from Veritas, Blue Spruce & Lie-Nielsen Toolworks and some fine books on the subject of sharpening.

This selection should be enough to satisfy most cabinet makers, hobbyists, turners and carvers (including slipstones galore).
