Product Description

The pattern of the Gransfors Broad Axe and the handle is based on old Swedish logging techniques for squaring logs and structural timbers of all kinds. Has sufficient space between the "blade’s beard" and the handle for the user’s fingers. There are different options of bevels (double, left or right). You also have handle options of straight (so the blade is in line with the cutting edge), or angled to the left or right. To produce the angle the eye of the head is twisted to left or right, this will give you more clearance to protect the knuckles.

This model is the 480-1 Straight Handle - Double Grind. Both sides of the cutting edge have a bevel, i.e no flat side.

• The broad axe has a 7" face and a 20" hickory handle and the head weighs 3lb.
