In super working order, this heavy-duty shoulder plane has good life left in the iron. 1 ¼” wide and 8 1/4” long. Good mouth. You can read all about Preston Shoulder planes at Preston Tool Reviews website An excellent alternative to the current new offerings by Lie Nielsen, Veritas & Clifton. A good percentage of the original nickel plating has worn due to use.

An excellent example of this ¾” (20mm) wide shoulder plane by Record. Full Record iron. Superficial cosmetic tarnishing otherwise in G++ condition. Square mouth. 8” long (210mm) Excellent!

Warranted cast steel. Steel hooped oak handled firmer chisel by famous Scottish maker Mathieson (note – take care with the hoop and it has an edge caused by being struck repeatedly which requires a bit of rounding off, a 3 minute job) 12 ½” overall. Blade life is 4”
