This plane has been discontinued from the Lie Nielsen tool range for several years now.

This particular example has been used but well looked after. It is in G++ condition with an almost full Lie-Nielsen iron.

No box.

The 610 is a specialty tool for furniture makers. Think it as a rebating version of Lie-Nielsen's best selling No.62 low angle jack plane.

It is very useful for making rebates against a fence. The 2 inch blade makes it an excellent tool for creating wide tenon.

The circular nickers are easy to extend from the body (retracting them quickly takes a little practice). And the long sole of the tool makes the resulting rabbet nice and true, even if the wood is not so flat.

This plane is like a massive shoulder plane because of its open sides so it can clean up large cheeks and tenons. 

This plane is quite difficult to find to purchase these days.
