Product Description

A useful and popular rebate plane by Stanley.

• The blade (cutter) can be placed in two positions: the rear for normal work and the front for bullnose use..
•  250mm (approx. 10 inches) long with a 38mm (1.1/2 inch) wide cutter.
• It has an adjustable, fence for controlling the width of the rebate and a depth gauge (stop) for controlling depth.
• Includes a nicker (cutting spur) to score wood fibers for clean cross-grain work.
• Made of cast grey iron, usually with a black japanned finish, and fitted with a single-iron cutting blade. 

Uses

• Cutting steps on the edge of boards, often for cabinet backs or frame joints.
• Using the bullnose position to cut into corners, typically for window or door frames.
• Often used as a robust tool for heavy, rapid stock removal before finer finishing.
