Record 405 Multiplane [Preowned]

Product Description

This plane has seen very little use at all and presents as almost new.

It has its fitted box with wallet containing 24 cutters and instruction booklet.

The cutters:

• 4, 6, 9 & 12mm plus 1/8'', 3/16'', 1/4'', 5/16'', 3/8'', 7/16'', 1/2'', 5/8'', 3/4'' & 7/8'' Plough & Dado cutters.
• 1/8'', 3/16'', 1/4'', 3/8'' & 1/2'' Beading cutters.
• 3/16'' & 1/4'' Match (Tongue & Groove) cutter.
• 3/16'' & 1/4'' Ovolo cutters.
• Slitting cutter.

The spur cutters are in place, both the short and long depth stops, long and short arms, cam steady are ALL present as are all the original nuts etc.

Actually, you would be hard pressed to find a better example. The nickel plating is unblemished.

Small screwdriver also present.

The Record Multi-Plane was designed for ploughing, dadoing, beading, centre beading, rebating and fillestering, match planning, sash planning and slitting.

The wood fittings - scratches to the stained beech handle and knobs but otherwise in Good++ - Fine condition.

The beech fence has (we think) been replaced by a rosewood fence.

This probably dates from the 1970-80’s
