Oscar Rush Large Bowl Adze

Product Description

A hand forged 50mm diameter hand adze with elliptical sweep profile to the cutting edge. 

The head weight is approximately 600g with a 230mm - 235mm long (just over 9"), hand carved, faceted, kin dried ash handle.

The leather adze cover is made by Oscar using Italian leather with solid brass rivets (these are much stronger than cap rivets).

This adze has been carefully designed for shaping large to medium bowls down to cooking spoon sized utensils. 

If striking the poll, do so with a wooden mallet (not a steel hammer).

Please note each of these tools are forged, ground and handled by hand which makes each of these beautifully functional edge tools unique.  

There will be slight variations between each tool which is part of their beauty but the crucial curves and alignment are consistent for each tool.

They are made in small batches by toolmaker Oscar Rush who will be joining Classic Hand Tools at a couple of their shows this summer & autumn.
