MoraKniv 106 Sloyd Woodcarving Knife
Product Description
The Mora 106 Sloyd woodcarving knife has a slightly longer blade than the 120 for larger cuts. The thin (2.8mm thick by 82mm long) blade is made from carbon steel which is easier to sharpen, and will ultimately give you a better edge over the laminated blades. Comes sharp, ready to go to work. The handle is made from oiled birch which is barrell shaped to give good grip. The tang runs the full length of the handle which gives it great strength.
To protect both you and the knife it comes with a plastic sheath which can be hung from a belt. Beware removing the knife from the holder for the first time - they can get slightly stuck.
Paul Adamson recommends this tool for making a Kuksa, his book can be viewed here
