These bevel gear hand drills are very underrated examples of hand tool ingenuity. We have resharpened the cutting edge of this ash handled heavy duty firmer chisel on a Tormek machine (so it is hollow ground) - it is now ready to get to work. In truth, this chisel slipped out of its packaging onto our showroom floor (again the finger of blame points to Fraser) which slightly damaged the edge. It is unused. A very nice Record No.7 (made in England) and a Stanley Bailey 4 ½ - pre-owned These are good quality examples of older planes which have been well cared for. The No.07 has stained beech handles.
