These saws are ideal with their taper ground blades with no set; this reduces the amount of friction and helps prevent binding which reduces the amount of effort required for each pull stroke. Perhaps more importantly, the clean cut will help the tree regenerate quicker. This particular model has large teeth which will give you a straight efficient cut.
