Usual scratch marks to sole but this is normal for moderate use.

This plane has been very well cared for.

The 5 1/2 is a mighty jack plane at 3.1kg and is the largest of the jack planes from Clifton.

The 5 1/2 is regularly considered the "go to" plane for people starting out as it really is a versatile beastie.. The name ''jack plane'' comes from ''jack of all trades''. 

• Bedrock design frog allows for maximum contact between frog and plane body, and gives you easier, more precise adjustment of the mouth.
• Blade is cryogenically treated O1 steel, heated to 60-62 Rockwell. Cutter Size: 2 3/8'' (60 mm) and 3mm thick.
