Brusso Brass Centre Pivot Hinge ST-18

"The Brusso hinges are engineered to a very high standard and beautifully finished.You only need to pick them up to realise that they are made from solid brass and carefully machined to fit perfectly and move smoothly.I had not come across centre pivot hinges before but they were specified in a project I am undertaking from a recent edition of the fine woodworking magazine.There are various articles in this publication on how to fit the hinges. The device was well packaged and promptly despatched from Classic Tools. Yes, these are the most expensive hinges I have ever bought but I am investing a lot of time and energy in making a very special Krenov style cabinet as a 60th birthday present. I would not want the overall quality of the finished product to be let down by cheap metalwork and this will certainly not be the case with the Brusso Hinges. There are a pair of hinges in the purchase and they come with a set of brass screws that fit exactly into the countersunk fixing points. There is also a steel screw which is used to tap the wood prior to inserting the brass fixture and make the possibility of breakages less likely.Overall I am very pleased with the purchase, a real investment for the future."
