7 Excellent Paring Gouges – Marples & Ibbotson [Vintage]
Product Description
Featuring famous makers from Sheffield, England - William Marples & Sons (5 of the 7) and Thomas Ibbotson (2).
Did you know that Marples acquired Thomas Ibbotsons assets in 1905? – nor did we!
A mix of long paring gouges with different handle styles and wood species, all with ferrules and virtually no defects (just one very short crack in one handle).
A very tactile bunch of gouges.

- ¼” (6mm)
- 3/8” (9mm)
- ½” (12mm)
- 5/8” 16mm)

You may wish to re-sharpen but they will work straight from the get go!
For the quality of these gouges what it may cost to replicate these with modern makers this is this Friday’s Super Find (if you happen to be after some great paring gouges of course!).
