Product Description
This plane is in good condition with the WALNUT infill and wedge in very good condition. The bridge bears the stamp TISSINGTON, referring to G Tissington who was a plane maker at 26 Cleveland Street, London in 1855 (British Planemakers from 1700 W.L Goodman 3rd Edition).
The mouth is uniform.
A good addition to a collection or for use.
Just 7'' long by 2 ¼'' wide with a 2'' wide iron.
Plane iron marked with ''FRED _ STONES'' and a crown with the words ''WARRANTED CAST STEEL'' underneath.
The blade is tapered and has the original cap iron.
This plane is 170 years old and has been used up until the last few months in 2025 – magical!
