Special bases were available for the Record No. 405 Multi-Plane: A Hollow and its cutter would form a round, and a Round and its cutter would form a hollow.

Hollows and Rounds were sold in sets, comprising 1 Hollow, 1 Round and 2 cutters.

• No. 6 Hollow and Round – 1/2 inch cutter width – works circles of 3/4 inch
• No. 8 Hollow and Round – 5/8 inch cutter width – works circles of 1 inch 
• No. 10 Hollow and Round – 3/4 inch cutter width – works circles of 1-1/4 inches
• No. 12 Hollow and Round – 1 inch cutter width – works circles of 1-1/2 inches
• No. 5 Nosing Tool – 1-11/16 inches cutter width – works circles of 1-1/4 inches
