Matty Sears - Large Drawknife [Pre-owned, As New]

9'' hand forged blade, made by Matty Sears, son of legendary Welsh Chairmaker John Brown.

This is from the same stable as the 6'' drawknife (separate entry) with the same anvil mark on the blade.

Flared handles (we think some sort of fruitwood), little used if at all.

Enjoy a good read with Good Work by Christopher Williams, published by Lost Art Press and available from Classic Hand Tools. Matty has a chapter in the book which is all about John Brown.
