Basically a bent version of his drawshave.

This is in little used condition.

Matty Sears is a toolmaker who learnt his skills in part from the legendary John Seymour (author of the fabulous Country Crafts) back in the 1960s. Matty made tools for his dad, John Brown whose life is written about in the Lost Art Press Publication "Good Work". In fact Matty has a chapter in the book which gives a great insight into his upbringing mainly in Wales where his father honed his knowledge of and skills in making Welsh Stick Chairs.

This was one of several tools bought directly from Matty quite some time ago by a gentleman who lived nearby in Wales at the time.
