Lie-Nielsen Large Router Plane Closed Throat

Product Description

A router plane is a great tool for working shallow mortices - hinge gains, inlay, doorlocks, trimming tenons and the like. Lie-Nielsen's version is based on an early Stanley 071 model, but with a closed throat which is ideal for working on the edges of boards or cleaning out the end of a stopped groove in a rail or stile. Also, the blade is held solidly in the body in a square broached hole (blades will not fit original Stanleys). A full range of additional blades will be available soon. Ductile Iron body, A2 steel blade. 8¼" long x 3½" wide x 3¾" tall, 1.65lbs. 3/8" square blade.
