A Clifton No.4 Smoothing Plane.

A quality British made woodworking plane made in Sheffield.

The most popular size of smoother. Despite its size this plane has a very heavy casting and is ideal for getting you the finish you deserve! 

  • Bedrock design frog allows for maximum contact between frog and plane body, and gives you easier, more precise adjustment of the mouth.
  • Blade is cryogenically treated O1 steel, heated to 60-62 Rockwell. Cutter Size: 2" (50 mm) and 3mm thick.
  • Clifton handplanes now come with a single piece cap iron.
  • Weight: 2 kg
  • Proudly made in Sheffield, UK.
