The most popular size of smoother. Despite its size this plane has a very heavy casting and is ideal for getting you the finish you deserve!
- Bedrock design frog allows for maximum contact between frog and plane body, and gives you easier, more precise adjustment of the mouth.
- Blade is cryogenically treated O1 steel, heated to 60-62 Rockwell. Cutter Size: 2" (50 mm) and 3mm thick.
- Clifton handplanes now come with a single piece cap iron.
- Weight: 2 kg

"This is a very, very good plane. Was ready to go out of the box after a clean up and a nice secondary bevel was applied. I prefer Clifton to Lie Nielsen and Veritas' 1) it is just as good in terms of quality but seems to fit my hands better; I also like the balance and weight 2) I'd much prefer to buy a Sheffield product if I can ( I have LN, Veritas as well as Clifton and use them all regularly for various purposes - they are all excellent - but just reach for the Cliftons more often)"
