A quality British made woodworking plane made in Sheffield.
This is a real beauty, and weighs in at an impressive 2.5kg. It's the largest of the three smoothers from Clifton, so ideal when you need something a bit wider than the no.4. Polish the blade, and set the plane up for a fine shaving, and you will be left with a surface to be proud of.
- Bedrock design frog allows for maximum contact between frog and plane body, and gives you easier, more precise adjustment of the mouth.
- Blade is cryogenically treated O1 steel, heated to 60-62 Rockwell. Cutter Size: 2 3/8'' (60 mm) and 3mm thick.
- Clifton handplanes have a single piece cap iron.
- Weight: 2.5 kg
