The Bad Axe Stiletto is a dedicated dovetail saw. You might think you need a short 8'' dovetail saw to cut your finest pins, but actually the Stiletto at 12'' will make for longer (and therefore fewer) cuts, which promotes more accuracy. The extra length is balanced beautifully by a shallow blade so it feels right in the hand.
Bad Axe Tool Works takes the finest materials and pairs it with great craftsmanship to produce a dovetail saw that will not disappoint.
The ingredients.......
- 15ppi Rip hammer set.
- 0.018'' (0.46mm) Gauge Plate.
- .027'' (0.68mm) Kerf.
- 12'' (305mm) blade.
- Depth of cut 1 3/4'' (44mm) at the heel, and cants to 1 5/8'' (41mm) at the toe.
- Black-Oxided Carbon Steel Sawback.
- Cherry Handle.
- Regular Size Handle.
- Brass Slotted Nuts.

"This is an excellent saw especially if you wish to gang together your drawer or box sides for cutting. It has an unusual, for the 21st century, method of maintenance which you should familiarise yourself with before making a purchase. If you prefer to cut one piece at a time then my choice would be a Rob Cosman saw (also available at Classic Hand Tools)"
