Product Description
Designed for quick stock removal deep down in a large bowl.
Allongee pattern, this means the blade tapers outwards from the shoulder to the cutting edge.
The cutting edge is 50mm (2") corner to corner, the bevel is ground to 25 degrees with a large no.18 sweep. Total length is 305mm (12").
This massive gouge has a beech handle 150mm (6") long with brass ferule.
Out-cannel (the bevel on the outside).
This monster still has its wax protection on the edge, so is unused and ready to carve!
