These originated from a well-known East of England based carver who had to give us his stick head carving a while back.

Swiss made.

To stop his tools “wandering” the owner marked all his tools with XXX on each handle (a little crudely in some cases).

• Straight double bevel skew chisel 2mm
• Straight double bevel chisel 2mm (incorrectly stamped)
• Straight chisel double bevel 5mm
• Fishtail chisel, doube bevel 6mm
• Fishtail gouge – sweep 3 – 5mm
• Straight Gouge – sweep 3 (very shallow) – 3mm
• Straight Gouge – sweep 8 (deep curve) – 2mm
• Straight gouge sweep 11 (veining tool – super tight curve) – 0.5mm (yes ..1/2mm)

8 good Pfeil full size carving tools that would set you back close to £200 new.

The handles are grubby but a quick light sand and oil will make all the difference.
