Despite many years of handling various gauges, we hadn’t seen this particular gauge before so we enjoyed playing with the adjustable tilting head.

The clear patent dates on the reverse of the fence led us to the maker BATES of BLOOMSBURG OCT 20 1896, USA

Jim Bode sold one of these in the not-too-distant past and using that as a yardstick, we came up with this valuation.
