Product Description
Shop accuracy begins with a benchmark straightedge as a surface reference. The Veritas anodized aluminum straightedges will not rust, and they are wide enough to stand on edge unsupported, so you have both hands free to make precise adjustments to your tools.
Extremely useful for setting up machines such as planers and jointers, they are 1 3/4'' (44mm) high and 7/16'' (11.1mm) thick, and the reference edge is machined flat to within 0.003'' (0.0762mm) over the entire length. They are available in five lengths, with weights ranging from just under 1 lb (0.45kg) to just over 2 lb (0.90kg). All have hang holes, allowing storage on a nail or hook.
