Product Description

Japanese Bench Chisels ''Oire Nomi''. A general purpose bench chisel for paring and chopping. 

  • Approximate overall length 9'' (255mm)
  • Laminated Shirogami No.2 White Paper Steel
  • Double scallop/hollow grind on back from the 12mm (1/2'') up, and triple on 36mm.
  • Hand forged in Japan.

Like many other hand forged Japanese chisels they are hand ground so you may wish to square up the cutting edge before use. The steel hoops will also need setting as they are not secured.
