Saddlers Round Knife - C S Osborne & Co. Newark N.J [Preowned, SOLD]

Product Description

This is a lovely vintage Saddlers round knife from the USA manufacturer CS Osborne.

It is difficult to date but from its form and simplistic beauty we hazard a guess that it is an early one dating as far back as the 19th Century.The blade has a lovely ring to it when flicked by a finger.

It is marked ''C S Osborne & Co. Newark N.J Made in USA'' on the blade. It is also marked ''Made in USA'' on the handle.

There is no number stamp but it equates to the shape of a No.70 round knife.

Superficial markings commensurate with its age. The photograpgs do not do this item justice.

Once in hand you will appreciate how nicley this was made over 100 years ago.

The edge is excellent.
