Product Description

With stained beech handles, this Stay-Set (SS) version of the No.5 jack plane is in excellent condition.

Stay set refers to the 2-piece cap iron which makes the sharpening of the iron somewhat quicker as you do not have to disassemble the plane iron assembly.

• Dating from 1950 – 1965
• 2” wide blade.
• 1 ½” original iron remains.

This may have been refurbished in the past, if so they did a nice job. A good user plane weighing about 4 ¾ lbs. 14” overall.
