This plane hasn’t done much scrubbing yet as judged by its full iron and excellent overall condition. Boxed.

This plane is based on the Stanley 40 1/2 and is designed to remove large quantities of wood quickly e.g. taking rough-sawn boards down to size, before finishing with a Jack Plane and a Smoothing Plane.

It is also useful for shaping irregular objects or creating an interesting, finished surface.

The Lie Nielsen Scrub Plane has a cast Iron body, 10¼'' long. The blade is massive to eliminate chatter 1½'' x 3/16'' thick. A 3'' radius on the blade and an open throat allow taking a deep cut with ease.
