Crown Parting & Beading Tool - 1/4'' (6mm)
A beading and parting tool made by Crown Tools to assist in creating spindles.
Described as a parting and beading tool because, with practice, this tool can be used to roll a bead.
Sharpening - all parting tools can be sharpened with a fine stone.
Using a light touch on a grinder will create a useful litte burr which cuts a cleaner edge.

Crown Tools Standard Parting Tool - 1/8'' (3mm)

There are a number of profiles. The standard parting tool is made from a simple rectangular bar from 1/8'' to 3/8'' - we have the 1/8'' available.

Thin parting tools allow for very fine parting which is useful where you need the grain to match ie boxes, vases etc.

This Robert Sorby 1/16" handy parting tool is designed to give the cleanest and finest of cuts with the minimum of waste wood. Its 1¼" blade width eliminates the flexing and twisting normally associated with such a thin blade.
