Ash Turning Blanks
Sourced from our mill friends in Yorkshire this is UK kiln dried ash supplied in squares with sealed edges.

Brown Ivory
Brown Ivory is red brown with a faint pink tinge with occasional blackish streak. Irresistible! For turning and furniture.
Knob Thorn
Knob Thorn is reddish brown with a very fine, dense texture. Great for turning and fine detail. Ideal for boxes and spindle work.
Leadwood
Leadwood is well suited to turning and carving. Dark brown heartwood with blackish streaks. Hard, heavy and durable. Sandpapers, varnishes and oils well to a high lustrous finish.

This is a hard wood used by turners and in furniture making. Its heartwood is reddish brown with occasional black or grey streak

Deep reddish brown with fine, tight grain lines which vary from dark brown to reddish and straw colour. The timber is hard and tight.
