Product Description

Made from beech with brass edges and ends, this is a lovely rule with clear markings on the upper face which has one bevelled edge.

36” long, ½” thick and 2 ¼” deep.

So this is a heavy rule which was desirable so it didn't slide about.

The person who owned it told Classic Hand Tools that is was used in aTailors shop.

This is perfectly believable but it could have been re-purposed from general joinery use.
