Product Description

Thi is a replacement or spare blade for a Lie-Nielsen 10 1/4 rebate plane.

It is an unused replacement blade for a coachmakers rebate plane (favoured by our timber framing friends amongst others).

A2 Steel, Cryogenically treated, hardened to Rockwell 60-62 and double tempered.

L-N heat treating technique ensures that the blade will take and hold a very fine edge for a long time. After heat treating, the blade is fully surface ground on the top, back, and cutting edge, giving a smooth, flat surface that will take a mirror finish very quickly.

Ths blade is thicker than Stanley plane blades to provide solid, chatter-free cutting.

Please do not buy this for your Stanley or Record Rebate plane as you may have to faff diddle about to get the blade to fit including widening the mouth and finding a longer cap iron screw etc etc.
