"A Lie-Nielsen No.5 1/2 Jack Plane. Probably the most popular bench plane, and the one that many woodwork teachers recommend starting out with due to its versatility.

The equivalent of a later type Stanley Bedrock No.605½.

• 14-3/4" (375mm) long.
• 2-3/8" (60mm) wide blade. A2 steel.
• Iron body, 7lbs (3.15kg).
