6 Pattermakers gouges [Vintage]
Product Description
These are well looked after patternmakers cranked paring gouges. Different makers and non-matching handles.
These came from a pattern maker in the West Midlands area of England. A pattern maker is often referred to as the “king of trades” and whenever we get hold of pattern makers hand tools they are generally in very good condition, as is the case here.
- 12” “ to 16“ overall.
- 3 are by Wm Marples & Sons and have boxwood handles (one ferrule is missing)
- One gouge is by Mawhood, Sheffield (Palm Tree brand circa 1960)
- The 2 remaining gouges are stamped but we can’t work out the Sheffield maker. These have matching handles.
- All 6 gouges are incannel ground.
