Veritas Precision Square - Metric
Ref: 05N3503

This could easily become the most-used measuring tool in your shop. An ideal size for cabinet-making, it has the accuracy of an engineer's square (0.001" per inch of length). All four edges are ground, and both faces are graduated on the inside and outside edges. This version is graduated in half millimetres on the 8cm leg and in millimetres on the 15cm leg.

Each is useful not only for general layout and checking whether surfaces are flat or straight, but also for machine set-up, since it lets you measure and check for square on the same plane. Since the legs are made from chrome-plated high-carbon steel, they can be marked upon with pencil for direct-reference use. Legs are 20mm wide.

The relieved interior corner ensures that the square seats well, even over saw whiskers. The markings are etched and black-filled for ease of reading. This thin, compact square fits easily into an apron slot or pocket so it’s there when you need it.

Veritas 24" Steel Straight Edge
Ref: 05N6201

Canadian-made precision steel straightedges are ground flat over the entire length on both edges to within 0.0010". Stress relieved to remain true under temperature variation. Useful for checking whether surfaces are flat or straight, they are 1-1/2" high and their width allows them to easily stand on edge unsupported, leaving both hands free for precise measurement or tool adjustment. All have hang holes, allowing storage on a nail or hook.

An invaluable aid for machine set-up, the 24" straightedge is a good size for setting up stationary machines such as planers and jointers. At slightly more than 2 lb, it weighs enough to stay in place while you make adjustments. 1/4" thick.

Veritas Metric Bevel Setters
Ref: 05N6603

A sliding bevel is an excellent tool for transferring angles but not for reading them. This bevel setter allows you to set specific angles (from 0° to 60° in 1/2° increments) on a sliding bevel or a workpiece and to read angles already set. Both functions are useful for dovetailing, for machine set-up, for polygon work, or for accurately fitting a piece in a restricted location. Common dovetail and polygon angles are highlighted on the reverse side.

The etched stainless-steel blade is 76mm wide and 178mm long. It is both easier to use and more accurate than a protractor in the same applications.

(Veritas Sliding Bevel not included)
