To be able to make fire has always been one of the corner stones of survival. The Swedish FireSteel was developed by Lars Fält, survival expert with the Swedish Army.
Today The Swedish FireSteel is used by Army Special Forces around the world. The Swedish FireSteel is made from a special alloy which consists of Magnesium. The spark it creates burns at almost 3000°C. The FireSteel is water and frost resistant.
The larger of two models, the Army is good for at least 12,000 ignitions. It weighs 60g and it 10cms long
