Lie Nielsen Dovetail Saw Ref: L-NDS

Beautiful curly maple handles with Swedish steel blades, modern technology applied to an early 19th Century design of saws from Sheffield, England.

Since dovetailing is a ripping operation, where the kerf is running with the grain, the Nielsen dovetail Saw has its teeth filed to a rip profile. With 15 points per inch, this Saw strikes an ideal balance between surface finish and speed. Teeth are set at .003" per side for a .026" kerf-narrow for straight cutting. Length, including handle, is 14", with an overall height of 4¼". Useable blade dimensions are 10" long by 1-5/8" deep (.020" thick).

Need to know how to use this saw correctly. Take a look at the Rob Cosman DVD "Mastering the Dovetail Saw" (see DVD section for more dovetailing instructional DVDs)
