European Woodworking Show
The European Woodworking Show, Cressing Temple Barns, Essex. Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd October 2010
The European Woodworking Show enjoyed a very successful launch in 2009. We plan to add further interest to the show without compromising on quality. We have listened to comments from exhibitors, traders and vistors and we will make efforts to improve all our Woodworking Zones for 2010.
Many of our vistors had not been to Cressing Temple Barns before and they were thoroughly impressed, it is a wonderful attraction in it's own right.
So stay in touch with the web site which will be regularly updated as we confirm the expanded show exhibitor line up. Click here to visit www.europeanwoodworkingshow.eu
The show is targeted towards hobbyist and professional woodworkers who will enjoy access to very knowledgeable demonstrators and trade representatives in a unique show venue that enjoys excellent amenities that is easy to reach from the continent and within the UK. Cressing Temple Barns near Witham in Essex is a visitor attraction in it's own right and is beautifully managed by Essex County Council. It has a full programme of events running throughout the year from food fairs to medieval jousts. It is therefore a well serviced venue for The European Woodworking Show with plentiful car parking, an on site restaurant, gift shop, toilets etc. It is also wheelchair friendly See www.cressingtemple.org.uk for further details of the venue.
Please note dogs are not allowed at Cressing Temple Barns, either in the barns or in the grounds.
A particular highlight of 2009 was the quality and diversification of the demonstrations. We intend to improve on this for 2010 and details will be added as they are confirmed.
2009 featured chairmaking, cabinetmaking, woodturning, woodcarving, pyrography, chainsaw carving, basketmaking, timber hewing, shingle making, printmaking, steam bending and much more.
2010 will feature all the above but we will look to add wheelwrighting, bowmaking, more workshop power tools, timed talks & demonstrations, boxmaking, pole lathe turning, boatbuilding, toy making and more...
Oh yes, nearly forgot! St Peters Brewery will be there with more beer!
The stalls and demonstrations will be split into 5 zones
The Hand Tool Zone The Workshop Machinery Zone The Wooodturning Zone The Woodcarving Zone The Green Woodworking & Craft Zone.
Most of the show will will be inside. We will be adding more marquees to link the various zones. There will be outdoor demonstrations. The site is large and there is a lot of circulation space. There is plenty of green open space to picnic as well as the large walled garden.
