Arbortech Tools

Arbortech produce a range of tools designed to fit standard angle grinders. Professional and hobbyist sculptors often use a combination of Arbortech, King Arthur and Auriou rotary tools to produce their work. The Arbortech Pro 4 is a long standing favourite for wood sculptors whilst the mini carver kit is popular with woodcarvers and woodturners working on smaller scale work and to access "awkward to reach" places. The Industrial Pro blade is the choice when you need to remove or shape a lot of timber over a long period (e.g the professional woodsculptors at the annual Festival of the Tree at Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire each August). Arbortech have recently produced a DVD aimed specifically at Woodturners. The DVD shows the wide range of shaping possibilities that are possible with the Arbortech range (see bottom of page for free view).

Arbortech Pro - 4 Woodcarver Ref: A-PRO 4

The Arbortech Pro 4 kit turns your angle grinder into a complete woodshaping kit. The Pro 4 blade is a universal tool for sculpting, carving, cutting and removing waste material with speed & control. Faster and more accurate than most conventional methods.
The Pro 4 guard is Arbortech's super tough clear polycarbonate guard, which gives excellent visibility. It easily attaches to most angle grinders and has an adjustable depth gauge.

The Arbortech Woodcarver Sharpening Stick is an Aluminium Oxide sharpening stick. All you have to do is to simply follow the existing tooth profile angle of 35 degrees to sharpen.

The Mini-Carver has been designed to compliment the Arbortech 100mm (4") range of woodworking blades. It has been a breakthrough for many users around the world, allowing the use of one tool to perform a multiple of varied tasks.

Arbortech Power Chisel Ref: APC

This is a power chisel unit as opposed to a grinder and this tool will provide you with years of service in most sculpting, carving and chiselling applications. If you already have a suitable angle grinder you can buy the cheaper Arbortech Power Chisel Attachment Kit.

The Power Chisel brings the field of power reciprocating carvers to a whole new level. The constant, reciprocating action gives superior control to the user and also the ability to carve difficult and uneven timbers.

The Power Chisel is incredibly safe and easy to use, ideal for people of all ages to use, especially where quick controlled dust free removal of timber is ideal. The cutting action is activated when the chisel is engaged against the work piece. This is achieved by the chisel being spring-loaded, resulting in the anvil of the chisel being raised from the 1mm off-set cam.

Individual chisels are easily changed with Arbortech's snap-lock system, simply push the button and chisels are changed within seconds. The chisels themselves are especially made for the Power Chisel, and are hardened to 60º Rockwell C. This, combined with rigorous quality control, results in the chisels having a high quality edge and long working life.

Utilising a similar mounting system to that of the Mini-Carver, the Power Chisel Attachment Kit attaches to most 100mm (4") and 115mm (4 1/2") angle grinders. The kit includes a 20mm flat chisel & a 20mm gouge plus 25ml high pressure lubricant.
